RAMANARPANAM TRUST ACKNOWLEDGES GRACIOUSLY THE MAGNANIMOUS EFFORTS OF THOSE WHO HAVE RENDERED SELFLESS SERVICE TO DWARAKA AND DRISHYA
MS. RAJI NARAYAN

Raji walked into the DWARAKA scene in the wake of the Christmas season in the year 2000. She brought with her a fresh energy, dynamism, and a commitment towards the development of the DWARAKA effort. Her designer skills helped enhance the product range and the product quality at DWARAKA. 14th of April 2001. As Raji welcomed an august gathering of well known personalities to the opening of the first DWARAKA showroom on Bellary Road in Bangalore it was both the culmination of months of hardwork and the beginning of a new dream for her and the rest of the DWARAKA team. For Raji, as she her self often says, her visits to Srikalahasthi stimulate her into greater service, and to the artists who eagerly wait for her with deep respect and affection it is a joy to work with their “Raji Amma”

Raji, is one of those rare people who chose to commit her time and energy voluntarily towards the upliftment of the poor, while she could have chosen to have sat back and enjoyed the leisurely comforts within four walls. She humbles one by her sincerity and dedication and the Ramanarpanam Trust acknowledges her selfless service.

MR. R.RAMAKRISHNAN
It was a December evening in the year 1998. During a casual conversation, Mr.R.Ramakrishanan threw a challenge to Ms.Anita Reddy regarding the development of villages in and around Srikalahasthi. Ironically that was the time that Anita had chanced upon meeting an impoverished kalamkari artist, Purusotham in Bangalore who needed help. Destiny then, that it was, that took Ram and his daughter Madhu to Srikalahasthi along with Anita who had already visited the villages with her father Shri.Dwaraknath Reddy. Ram never looked back since then. Having involved himself devotedly in many social work projects earlier, DWARAKA became an extension to his selfless service yet again. Not only did he bring to the organization his skills in finance management but with it came the devotion and dedication, and the concern and support to the poor artisans and to DWARAKA cause. Ramanarpanam Trust acknowledges Ram’s contributions towards the development of the downtrodden.

MS. GEETHA NARAYANAN
To have Ms.Geetha Narayanan, a renowned educationist guiding the DRISHYA Education Movement, an initiative of the Ramanarpanam Trust in partnership with AVAS, is not only a privilege but a humbling experience in learning. Her brilliant training techniques bring alive her innovative approach in teaching a curriculum derived from the real life truths of children living in slums. Endowed with immeasurable reserves of energy, Geetha is helping bring alive the DRIK and AVAS dream of nurturing leadership in children from slums, and moulding young minds into becoming change makers and path breakers. Her efforts are revolutionizing the very model of education and methods of teaching urban poor children. ‘Geethamma’ as she is known to the DRISHYA movement is all heart and all spirit and the Ramanarpanam Trust, humbled by her committed service acknowledges her contribution to DRISHYA.
